Day Two.    Up early with anticipation. A quick breakfast at the hotel, and then to the platform for the first monorail into the park. A quick ride into the Transportation Centre where I changed to the Blue Line monorail. Off to Wild Country to ride The Great Comet. There is no line, and I get the front car. Sweet! Two minutes and thirteen seconds of bone rattling excitement. What a great way to start the day. Next, a quick trip over to the Country Bears and then a show at Imaginaria Music Hall. Wanting a little ride action, I spot the Disney and Northern Railway station. I am curious as to where this thing goes. Pretty much through the woods, underground, and then a very enjoyable inside view of the "Matterhorn". Back to the monorail for the cruise to Adventure Island.

The Great Comet     Blackbeards Ghost

I take a quick rest stop and purchase pineapple juice and a pirate hat for the adventures ahead. I stroll around the docks checking out the scenery and head off to the backside of the island. I turn the corner and discover Blackbeard's Ghost. It's the little woodie I spotted from the monorail yesterday.  I'm up for another woodie, so into the queue. For only being just over a minute long and having such a small footptint, Blackbeard's Ghost is a surprisingly raucous ride.

It's already afternoon and warming up enough to ride Rum Runner, an oak barrel water ride. Quite entertaining traveling by a village, down some rapids, through the mouth of a giant skull shaped rock. I got soaked however, including my new pirate hat. Oh well, I might as well go down to the Jolly Roger, a log flume attraction. This actually goes through that village and has some extraordinary drops. Still wet, I exit and continue on.
