I continue on around the village past the tavern and through a tunnel into what looks like a much more modern part of the island. I spot the Retro Rail, and although I am a monorail fan, I was more attracted by what I saw straight ahead looming gloomily in the distance - The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It was awesome. The drop reached a top speed of 83 miles per hour (133 KPH) in 44 seconds. I went on it again...

By now I was dry and very hungry, so I stopped by for a quick nosh at the "Launchonette". There was this whole little Hollywood tinsel town section to explore, and it took quite some time.  Finding myself on the other side of Deco Avenue, I was in an Arabian oasis. Getting a quick bearing, I spotted the Pharaoh's Revenge. I had no idea what to expect, but it sounded like it could be fun. It was a haunted mansion type attraction with menacing mummies, scary scarabs, and lots of artifacts and wonders. Very cool.

I exit and pass through Jasmine's Palace, only to find I have ahead of me - Swamp Country. It's a creepy place, and I manage to ride Arachnophobia, a spider spinning attraction, right off the bat. I also investigated Widow Perkin's. Fortunately I could exit this creepiness and take a nice long cruise on the Seven Seas Submarines.

I walked off the subs and back on to the dock right near the entrance to Pirate's Cove. Noticing it's getting dark, and my tummy is screaming like a banshee, I decide to pick up an order of fish and chips to snack on while I ride the monorail back to the hotel. This brings a very long day to a close. Even though I'm still excited, I'm quite tired.
