            | As the ride finishes I mention that it’s about time for a pit stop
and some lunch. As Brad and I are chowing down on pizza, sodas and a
big ‘ole pretzel slathered with mustard, I couldn’t help but
notice the attention to detail that surrounded us at every turn.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road is being piped from the bushes as we
search for the Tin Man. We are still looking but I think we found
his heart-stopper in the form of another wicked coaster.
Whole-Heartedly is a hyper twister, closely resembling Top Thrill
Dragster. We are launched, twisted and dropped all in the matter of
44 seconds. Not enough time to gather you’re thoughts, but enough
time to give you another shot of much needed adrenaline. Just up the
street, past some quaint buildings and a host of other rides, like
the Tin POS, The Oxidizer and a wonderful Maze, we come upon the
Courage Keepers Mansion. Just above us winds the track of yet
another wicked coaster to be tamed.

            | We follow the track and finally, we have found the Cowardly Lion
and his Quest for Courage. This Vertical Drop coaster is not for
the weak of heart. We are lifted skyward with Ground Zero about
110 ft. below us. A quick twisted drop, followed by some great
airtime and we are held in suspension for the final vertical drop
into an underground grotto. Then into the daylight for a trip to
the station. Taking a short break we slurp down a frozen lemonade
and check the map for the location of the Poppy Fields. I tell
Brad it’s no time for a nap as we head off down The Yellow Brick
Road. It would be hard to take a nap here, as you are being buzzed
by Flying Monkeys and screaming guests. Off in the distance lie
the gates of the Emerald City. We double-time it as it looks like
it’s going to rain. Our eyes are blinded by the exquisite
architecture and attention to detail in this magical area.
It’s starting to rain, so we duck for cover at the Horse of a
Different Color Carousel. As we exit the ride the skies are
clearing and we are told that the Great and Powerful Oz will see
us now. When we get closer to the platform, our knees begin to
shake from the anticipation of meeting The Great Wizard, to have
our wishes granted. We didn’t have to wait long, as we are
launched at 54 MPH around two banked turns to a massive hill. No
time for sightseeing, as we drop through several more turns to the
Cobra Roll. Almost instantly we are in a follow-up loop. With our
hearts racing the Wiz delivers us safely to the exit.
