Gone But Not Forgotten
Posted Sunday, July 4, 2004 by Sambo

Thanks to Mike Robbins and a cadre of Station fans, for this tribute to RCT Station. RCT2.com is presenting their work - a Station RCT2 Park two years in the making, and a special bonus. Along with these very special tribute parks, we are including the words of former Station Staff and Members recalling what this very special place meant to them. Best of all, we are doing it in a format that recalls three faces of the Station - the year 2000 (this page), and years 2001 and 2002.  Those were the days...

Station Park 2003-2004
Posted Sunday, July 4, 2004 by Mike Robbins

Station Park 2003 - 2004 was made by the former staff members and members of RCT Station. This park is dedicated to RCT Station and its webmaster Jim "Red Phoenix" Chamberlin. There are two maps to this project, Station Park 2003 - 2004, and Station Park Golf Resort. There were 18 total members that participated in the complete project. Here is where you can view more and download the parks.

I'm all for a tribute to the Station
Posted Monday, June 28, 2004 by KaiBueno

I'm all for a tribute to the Station...it was a landmark in the RCT community for a long while, and many, many of the members here used to go there. What better way then a park started by the former Station staff, and finished by former Station board members!

Also, seeing as that RCT Station was a U.S. based site (based in Illinois->Red Phoenix), it seems fitting that it should go out with a bang on the 4th!

OK, I'll stop now and leave the rest of the jokes for Earl...

What to do?
Posted Saturday, June 26, 2004 by Sambo

When AustinPowers came to me with this project there was a bunch of questions.  What to do?  These parks are a fitting tribute to the Station by themselves.  Should we make a special Vacation Park?  Mike had done a great job getting this thing together and we really need to do something more.  What to do?  What better way to remember RCT Station than recreate it?  Not just one version - but three...and what a fitting place to showcase the parks and remember how it was.  Best part - we'll launch it all for the Fourth of July!  Sorry about not asking permission first Jim - but it had to be a surprise!

Project Dropped

Due to a lack of overall participation, no time, and no desire to finish this, I regret that this park will not continue. My apologies to anyone.

Will a mod please lock this. Thanks.

I'm quite surprised this is still an on-going project. Good to see it's continuing.
