A Walk Through Oz

  by Scoop

Well, the old Boomster has asked for some assistance with the latest VP Park Winner walk-thru. Being of not-so-sound mind, Brad and I have set the course on the King Air 350 to Kansas. Checking the weather map it looks like it’s going to be a rough approach and landing, as there are thunderstorms in the area with a chance of tornados. We touch down in a vacant field near a farmhouse where we are to meet Dorothy, our host.

The sky is growing darker and the wind is now howling, sounding something like a freight train. We try to dive for the storm shelter but are trapped in a spinning vortex heading for who-knows-where. Images flash past the windows as we are carried further and further away from reality.

Suddenly, there is an abrupt halt to our progress, and we have landed in a strange new land. We are now somewhere over the rainbow and being welcomed by what looks like a group of Amazing Earl’s roadies.

In fact, we are at the gates of RCT Innovation’s seventh club park. So sit back and relax as we take a magical tour down the Yellow Brick Road to see The Wizard of Oz.

Approaching the main gate is a real treat, the walkway is bordered by well-manicured flowerbeds, fountains and the strangest street lamps I’ve seen in a while. Playing low in the background is the haunting refrain of Over the Rainbow. The main Park Entrance is shielded by a well built structure that has to be admired. I tell Brad to hustle it up or he will miss all of the fun. He mumbles something about carrying all of the cameras and such needed for this review.
