The two Steam Carousels, Merry Mahi Mahi(1895) and Merry Mola Mola(1895) situated at the West and East Avenue were the very first attractions in the park.

In 1907 part of the jungle, at the east side of the Main Avenue, was dedicated to the scouting movement, founded by Baden Powel in that same year. The Baden Powell house was officially opened by Baden Powell himself. Scouting groups can have adventurous camps here. Every kid visiting the island is welcome to join in with their year-round activities. Visit the Baden Powell house for info. 

In 1920, to honor the first World Jamboree, The Explorer, a reverser coaster, was built in the area.
