Imaginaria
Discovery Bay
by
Wagi
Discovery Bay is the
second part to the Imaginaria Resort. This section,
themed to a Jules Verne-ish Victorian view of the
future, is different than most theme parks. Here
museums and institutes of research stand
side-by-side with amusements similar to what is done
at EPCOT and areas of the Disney World Resort.
Many of
Wagi's ideas were based on sketches made for a
planned, but never realized concept sketch to
construct an actual area of the Disneyland Resort
with a Victorian/Jules Verne theme that had proved
popular at the Disneyland Paris Resort, as well as a
series of futuristic posters at Disneyland Paris
illustrating a Victorian view of what the present
would be like. However, this remains a fantasy park,
and bears little or no relation to any real theme
park, nor to any true Disney stylings. |
