Passing through this picturesque area lined with rice fields brings back memories of long ago in Vietnam. This tropical paradise has a unique blend of modern facilities combined with a rich past and heritage. There across the bridge is a wonderful painted backdrop waiting to be examined.
I am standing in front of the Sacrifice Pit wondering if there is a Hindu influence to this area. The rest of the park seems warm and friendly but this area seems to be a little to hot and sinister for my liking. I step into the Hindu Cremation and am lost in time a space in a uniquely themed Simulator. I love these things and ride all I can find. This out of the way, I head on over to the Ketchak Dance. After boarding we are lifted to the Temple and start our twisting and spinning plummet. Did I mention spinning, I hang on and suppress the churning in the old bread-basket. The last part of the ride brings us past the beach. Off in the distance I spy something I need to check out later. Departing this exciting albeit gut churning ride I head for the train station.
A short peaceful ride to settle the stomach and we arrive at Surabaya. This area is home to the Knalpot and Lake Bratan Launch. I decide to pass on these two thrills as I’m still a bit shaky from previous rides. This area is truly a feast for the eyes with its mixture of traditional and modern architectural styles. Off to my left is Bandung with the Green Canyon Tour.
