This
area is a real treasure trove of Earl’s great work
and it has been arranged and themed to the nines by
Mama Bear. Speaking of the Man of Magic and Mystery,
we find him gathering a crowd, to astound them with
his feats of legerdemain and non-stop jokes. Later
Dan, we might be on the same flight home if you bomb
on this gig.

Continuing
our journey, we enter a beautiful lake area that was
formed from a sand borrow pit. With most of the
Netherlands being below sea level, anyplace you dig a
hole you get water. Marjan explains that the ancient
building at the head of the lake is her old school,
Coevorder lyceum. School or not, it now houses a
great Moto-cross ride supplied by Earl. The middle of
the lake is dominated by a Sky Diver surrounded by
rental boats. So much activity in a small area is hard
to achieve, but Mama Bear is the Master. Over in the
corner I spot a costumed character jumping up and
down. It’s Hans Brinkers celebrating finding the
hole in the dike. A quick pit stop in the Dike View
building and we continue our tour. Walking along the
dike there’s a Sooper Looper now being used as a wind
turbine.

Through
the plaza and past the church, at least it looks like
one from the outside, but Earl has made his presence felt with the Spinning Cup ride housed inside. He’s
everywhere I begin to mumble as Marjan just laughs
again. Back up on the dike there is a spacious view of
the airport and a huge coaster. I’ll be sure to ride
it when I arrive back at the gate. Then its across to
the pier. A nicely themed area with several more of
Earl’s creations. Judging from the looks of the
Giant Octopus and shark tanks there is no problem
getting rid of troublesome peeps here. We then make
another left, heading back towards the Main Entrance.
