Arriving
at the entrance of this great landscape, I am
reminded of some of the stats that came with the
park. It covers 7,208,850 square feet. That’s
165.5 acres or 67 hectares of landmass. I don’t
know how long it took to create this masterpiece but
from the looks of it a long time. If you are
counting rides and attractions you will find 154 to
go along with the 146 staff members. I’m surprised
the limit on sprites was not reached.

The
main entrance is truly a sight to see, with the oriental
architecture and a reasonable $35 entrance fee.
Inexpensive I say, for a park that has so much to offer in
the way of excitement and adventure, Asian Style. The
sheer size of this park has prompted me to rent an
electric scooter at Guest Services. Mounting my trusty
battery-powered steed, I head off in search of adventure.

Off
to the right is the Dragon’s Head bumper cars, with
a giant inverted steel coaster looming in the
background. I’ll get back to the coaster later,
right now I’m headed for the Imperial River Falls
raft ride. I might be old and slow, but the scooter
gets me into the handicapped line for the ride. I knew
my gray hair would come in handy someday. I plop my
carcass in a raft and settle back for a gentle ride.
