Day One.     I just completed a very grueling twelve hours. It all started on this beautiful plaza leading up to the entrance. My pass was validated for the day, and in I went only to encounter an immense Transport Centre. Now I know what transportation means in Disneyland - monorails and trains. I was inside and up on the monorail platform before you could say Jiminy Cricket. What better place to get the lay of the lands?

The Transport Centre     Could it be the Matterhorn?

The monorail took off and right off I passed by Toontown on the left, and to the right just across the water, was the Eastside Dock where a couple of sternwheelers were idling. Farther out into the water, I was heading for an old west looking place, but there was a familiar looking snow-covered mountain in the distance ahead. Into the trees and whoosh - I was in blackness. In just a few seconds I was back into the light, but on the other side of the mountain and pulling into a station. Not just any station mind you, it was the Northwest Lodge - another impressive structure to be sure. After a brief stop to let off some guests, I was underway and under a bridge quite literally!
